Ravi Venugopalan

Ravi Venugopalan is a Tabla Artist with over 10 years of training in the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara. He is a senior disciple of Pandit Anindo Chatterjee and his son shri Anubrata Chatterjee. Before that Ravi used to learn from Ustad Faiyaz Khan saheb, Dilli Gharana.

Ravi Venugopalan preforms alongside with his Guruji Pt. Anindo Chatterjee in India and abroad five times to date. Notably, his first performance with his Guru Pt. Anindo Chatterjee took place at the prestigious Abbaji’s Gurupurnima in Mumbai in 2025. In addition to his accompanying with Pt. Anindo Chatterjee, he has performed with many more senior musicians.

He has performed in the USA and UAE and also teaches tabla internationally to students across different countries. Ravi has received awards including the Rooh E Ghazal Promising Young Tabla Player Award 2023 in the UAE and the Vocational Excellence Award 2016 from Rotary International.
