Maxton Hunter

Raised on a secluded ranch north of Santa Barbara, Maxton Hunter's imagination ran free, ultimately leading him to music at a very young age. Rather than identify with a single instrument, his truest voice can be found in the studio, blending psychedelic folk-rock, ambient soundscapes and Indian-fusion into what he calls 'Mystic Americana.' In 2021, Hunter joined the L.A. International Music & Arts Academy, where he met his guru Rajib Karmakar. This mentorship, along with his immersion in the FOT community, ignited a deeper artistic purpose of bridging Western and Eastern musical traditions.

Beyond these solo pursuits, Hunter is a member of the soul-blues band East Valley Road, ambient ensemble Academy of Light, as well as the live drummer for singer-songwriter Evan Blix.
