Abhi Patel

Abhi Patel, professionally known as Matrix Muzik Official, is a versatile drummer, percussionist, and music educator originally from Surat, Gujarat, India.

Abhi's musical journey began at the age of 12 while he was in high school. His foundation in music started with Hindustani Classical Vocal training, followed by studies in Tabla and Harmonium under the guidance of Dr. Dipak Kansara at Swaram Music Academy in Surat. As his passion for rhythm grew, he developed a deep interest in drums and world percussion instruments.

Driven by his dedication to mastering percussion, Abhi had the privilege of learning the Djembe in the Indian classical style from renowned percussion maestro Ustad Taufiq Qureshi at the Rhydhun Academy of World Rhythm in Mumbai. Throughout his musical development, he actively participated in numerous national-level music competitions across India, earning several awards and accolades for his performances.

In addition to performing, Abhi has made significant contributions as a music educator. Over the years, he has taught students ranging from 5 to 75 years old at various schools and music academies. He has also served as a judge for multiple district- and state-level music competitions. Under his mentorship, many students have achieved success and won awards in prestigious musical competitions across Gujarat and India.

In 2017, Abhi moved to the United States to further deepen his knowledge of drums and world percussion. He pursued his professional music education at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, where he earned his degree and expanded his expertise in contemporary and global percussion styles.

Today, Abhi works full-time as a professional drummer, percussionist, and Audio/Video Technician with 3D Sounds, where he has been a valued team member for over seven years. Throughout his career in the United States, he has performed alongside numerous celebrities, influencers, and nonprofit organizations while contributing to a wide variety of Indian cultural and community events.

One of his recent career highlights includes performing at the Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays 2025 (Disneyland Diwali Celebrations) through a collaboration between 3D Sounds and Karmagraphy Entertainment, showcasing Indian music and culture on one of the world's most celebrated entertainment stages.

With a strong foundation in Indian classical music, a passion for world rhythms, and years of professional performance and teaching experience, Abhi Patel continues to inspire audiences and students alike through his dedication to music and the art of percussion.
