Yagnesh Dholakia

Yagnesh Dholakia is a dedicated student of the tabla, currently training under the guidance of Shri Neeraj Dholakia, a senior disciple of Shri Chandrashekhar Gandhiji and part of the esteemed tradition of Pandit Yogesh Samsiji. His journey in Indian percussion began at a young age in India, where he actively participated in cultural and social events, performing with both the dholak and tabla. Although his early exposure laid the foundation for his musical interest, it was in the United States that he commenced formal training, first with Shri Jyoti Prakash Mistri and later under the mentorship of Shri Hemant Ekbote. Since 2019, he has been fully devoted to advancing his skills under Shri Neeraj Dholakia’s tutelage. Yagnesh approaches the tabla with a sense of lifelong commitment and purpose. His aspirations extend beyond personal mastery, as he aims to contribute meaningfully to the world of Indian classical music. In particular, he seeks to establish himself as a distinguished accompanist for semi-classical vocalists, striving for excellence through discipline, devotion, and continuous learning.
