Visham has been learning sitar since the age of 7 from Dr. Prasad Joglekar (one of the finest Sitar players of the Jafarkhani style) and Pt. Partha Chatterjee (a disciple of Pandit Nikhil Banerjee and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan) for the last 4 years. Additionally, Visham received a prestigious scholarship from the Ali Akbar College of Music to learn Sitar from Ustad Alam Khan.
Visham has performed at various concerts, including the Amir Khan Festival, Vedanta Society - 125 years of Ramakrishna Mission, Diksha Dance Festival, Swaraswati, Sangeethaamsha, and Sunaad. In addition to performing solos, Visham accompanies both vocals and dance.
Furthermore, Visham learned vocals from Smt. Sujata Ghanekar (a sr. disciple of Vidushi Parveen Sultana) for 5 years, and the last 3 years, he has been learning from Smt. Smita Deshpande (a sr. disciple of Dr. Alka Dev Marulkar). He has won many sitar and vocal competitions and is also an IndianRaga Fellow. Moreover, Visham is part of both the Advanced Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band at his school as a trumpet player.
