Noopur Dave has learned Gujarati folk music from a very young age under the tutelige of her grandfather, late Arvindbhai Joshi. Starting with percussion instruments and moving on to learn vocals, she has been learning and performing Gujarati Lokgeet (folk) and Sugham sangeet (light music) for the past 10+ years. Along with Gujarati folk music, she has trained with Geetha Munshi in light and basic Hindustani classical vocals for 7 years.
This performance is to honor her grandfather who was a pillar of Gujarati folk music and promotion of musical endeavors by local and International artists around the world.
