Javad completed a Master's in Fine Arts degree at the California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles, CA, under the tutelage and guidance of Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri, an eminent exponent of the Lucknow Gharana. 
With a deep love for the inexhaustible art of Tabla, Javad is always continuing to learn and develop.
