Dharini Desai is born into a family of Bharatanatyam and Gujarati folk dancers. She started dancing at the young age of 4 under the guidance of her mother, Prerna Desai (artistic director of Sankalp Natyalaya). Dharini enjoys Nritta and is exploring pieces of Natya as a 6-year-old learning the Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam. She has a natural musical ear and can follow phenomenal thaalam. Dharini continues to dance with Smt. Dhruti Patel and Shiv Dance Academy in annual performances.
